Crack in DC

This map depicts a number of things. It shows Hanover Place, where Rayful Edmonds lived and started dealing crack, the area where activist Leroy Thorpe began uniting his neighborhood against the drug dealers. it also depicts hot spots for drug sales, as well as murders. This map is useful because it shows a whole range of happenings at once. While there were murders and drug dealers in the District, President Bush and Leroy Thorpe represent a stand against them in the form of the government and by community leaders.
